The real peer-to-peer topology of the network around GB7CAM. Every few hours each of GB7CAM’s peers is asked for its own ROUTES table (its direct neighbours), and those are drawn here as the true edges between stations: who actually links to whom. This is very different from a plain nodes table, which only records which neighbour each destination was learned through and collapses into a star.
Larger dots are better-connected hubs; highlighted dots are GB7CAM’s direct peers. Green edges are RF links, blue are internet (AXIP). By default the view shows the connected backbone; switch to Show all to include every single-link leaf node as well.
Two different peer figures are shown below the controls, and they measure different things. Peers linked is how many stations GB7CAM currently holds a route to — that is the node-health number, and it is normally steady. Reporting routes is how many of those peers answered a route-capture poll during the selected window; polls run every few hours and a distant peer will sometimes miss one. A gap between the two is normal and does not mean anything is wrong: it only means the graph below is drawn from slightly fewer stations than GB7CAM is actually linked to.
